    UBEO Business Services, the premier provider of business technology products and services, is seeking to hire a Regional Director of Human Resources to join our team for the East Region.

    UBEO is a distributor/servicer of document equipment and software solutions. Primary products include Xerox, Ricoh, Canon and Konica Minolta multi-functional equipment and Kyocera printers. UBEO specializes in electronic document management software and integrations.

    Purpose

    The Regional Director of Human Resources (HR) works in collaboration with the other Regional Directors of Human Resources in our Central and West Regions and provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s operations. The Director of HR is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resource operations while setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.


    Responsibilities

    The primary responsibilities of this position is as follows:

    • Partners with executive leadership to define and support the organizations long-term mission and strategic goals and objectives
    • Provides guidance and leadership within the company; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues
    • Ensures human resource initiatives are effective, efficient and aligned to overall business objectives
    • Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, coaches, counsels and disciplines staff
    • Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs
    • Defines onboarding procedures to align with the company culture
    • Oversees the daily workflow of the HR department and HR systems to include payroll, workers’ compensation management, FMLA, COBRA, performance evaluations, new hire onboarding, benefits, 401k retirement and other applicable HR functions
    • Designs, maintains and updates job descriptions
    • Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel and decisions
    • Motivates, supports and develops initiatives to support employee growth & development and enhance job satisfaction
    • Assists with employee grievances and disputes
    • Disciplines and provides support and counsel in the termination of employment decisions in accordance with company policy
    • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing and updating policies, procedures, methods and guidelines
    • Communicates and enforces organizational values
    • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements
    • Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management
    • Designs and implements company policies that comply with business objectives
    • Leads acquisitions/mergers and expansions due diligence analysis, system integration, talent assessment & selection process, communication, policy establishment and post-acquisition on-boarding and training
    • Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least ten years of human resource management experience required
    • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred

    Physical Demands & Work Environment

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Ability to talk on the phone and work with various computer tools and applications.
    • Ability to type and compose written communication in various forms
    • Ability to lift 20+lbs on occasion
